The Finance Department not only manages finances but also oversees administration. A key component is the AStA budget, where the expenditures and revenues incurred within this budget are monitored by the finance team. Another responsibility is the allocation of financial resources, such as distributing the budget to the student councils. When new student councils are established, the Finance Department conducts training and orientation for the new finance representatives. Supporting student councils with financial issues and reviewing their budgets are also part of the department's tasks.

The semester ticket is considered one of the most important benefits for students. However, there are periods during studies when this ticket cannot be used. Under certain conditions, a refund of the mobility fee is possible—such as during a practical semester, study abroad, or leave of absence, as well as in cases of exmatriculation. Additionally, the finances and operations of "Delta t" in Jülich are managed.
