The finance department handles finances as well as administration. One of the cornerstones is the AStA budget. The expenditures and revenues within this budget at the AStA are controlled by the finance officers. Another task is the allocation of financial resources. This includes, for example, distributing the budget to the departmental councils. When departmental councils are restructured, the finance department conducts training and orientation for the new departmental council finance officers. Supporting departmental council finance issues is also part of their responsibilities, as well as reviewing the departmental council budgets. The semester ticket is one of the most important benefits enjoyed by most students. However, there are periods during the study when using this ticket is not possible. Under certain conditions, a refund of the mobility fee is possible – for example, during a practical, study abroad, or vacation semester, or even upon deregistration. Additionally, finances and operations of the 'Delta t' in Jülich are managed.
