General questions about the semester ticket
The price of the Germany semester ticket is linked to the Germany ticket nationwide and amounts to 60% of the latter. The ticket is always purchased for a full semester, i.e. 6 months.
The price for the extension to South Limburg depends on the national tariff index of the Netherlands.
As a transport company, ASEAG is responsible for issuing and sending tickets. Therefore, always make sure that your address is correctly stored in the FH's H1 portal. Your ticket will be sent automatically upon enrollment and will also be renewed automatically if it expires. If you have any questions about the issuance of tickets, please contact ASEAG directly at semesterticket@aseag.de or on site at the customer center.
The chip cards should be sent to you before the start of the semester. If you have not received a card, please check that you have provided the correct address to FH Aachen.
If the address is correct and you still haven't received a ticket at this address, please contact ASEAG customer support.

Questions about switching to the naveo app
On the Services page of FH Aachen (services.fh-aachen.de/Eticket) you can choose whether you prefer to use the chip card or the naveo app.
If you switch from the app to the chip card, you will receive a chip card by mail in the next few days. Please check that the correct address is on file with the university.
The standard method of using the Germany semester ticket is via the naveo app.
When you enroll at the university, you will automatically receive a link from ASEAG that you can use to register in the naveo app.
If you have been using a chip card and would now like to switch to the naveo app, you can indicate this on the FH services page (services.fh-aachen.de/Eticket). You will then be sent a link code shortly, which you can use to register in the naveo app. Your chip card will then be deactivated.
You can switch from the app to using the chip card once per semester. In theory, it is always possible to switch from the chip card to the naveo app.
Because switching from the app to the chip card involves administrative and financial costs, it is only possible to switch once per semester.
No. The ticket is updated every month, but must be downloaded again in the app at the beginning of each month.
Once you have re-registt6ered, you don't need to worry.
If you have not received a link code even though the FH services page states that you want to use the naveo app, please contact ASEAG directly.
To do so, send an email to: semesterticket@aseag.de.
If you encounter any issues with the naveo app itself, please contact naveo support directly: hallo@naveo.info.
It may be that your chip card has been deactivated by mistake or because you have been using the naveo app up to now. You can reactivate your chip card here:
- at any Deutsche Bahn ticket machine
- at the ASEAG customer center at Aachen bus station
- at ASEAG advance sales outlets
There you can also check whether your chip card has been deactivated.
