Every year we organise the Sustainability Days in cooperation with the AStA of the RWTH.

This year, the Sustainability Days will take place from May 5th to May 9th. 04.05.2025 – 08.05.2026 takes place.

You can look forward to a whole week of free events all about sustainability, Fairtrade, and the future of our planet. Learn about climate protection and social justice, and discover how you can contribute to a more sustainable world – or simply enjoy one of our delicious Fairtrade mocktails.

Night Flea Market

As part of the 2025 Sustainability Days, we organized a night flea market at LustAufLife together with the AStA of RWTH – fully in the spirit of the circular economy.

In addition to a clothing swap organized by nAChaltig angezogen, other students also offered their pre-loved treasures. Not only clothes, but also many games, books, and children's items found new owners.

With a free coffee from Fairtrade Germany’s Fair Trade Coffee Bike, organic tea, or Fair Trade cocoa in hand, visitors could leisurely stroll through the rows and browse the stalls.

The event was perfectly rounded off with information on sustainability provided at the booth of Eine Welt Forum Aachen.

Auch dieses Jahr gibt es wieder einen Nachtflohmarkt und einen Kleidertausch!

Stadtrundgang feat. nAChhaltig angezogen

Du willst in Aachen nachhaltig einkaufen, weißt aber nicht, wo du anfangen sollst? Auf dem „Stadtrundgang: nAChhaltig angezogen“ wirst du zu ausgewählten Läden mitgenommen, die Mode ganz anders denken. Von kuratierten Secondhand-Boutiquen über gemeinnützige Konzepte mit upgecyceltem Angebot bis hin zu fair und nachhaltig produzierter Neuware. An jedem Stopp erfährst du, was hinter dem Laden steckt: sein Konzept, seine Haltung, seine Geschichte. Natürlich gibt es auch genügend Zeit zum Stöbern. Damit die Tour nicht nur informativ, sondern auch richtig Spaß macht, haben wir uns außerdem eine kleine Besonderheit überlegt, denn Aachen lässt sich am besten entdecken, wenn man genau hinschaut. Ob ihr gezielt auf der Suche seid oder einfach offen für neue Inspiration – diese Tour zeigt euch, wie lebendig und vielfältig nachhaltige Mode in Aachen sein kann

Nacht-Flohmarkt mit Kleidertausch feat. nAChhaltig angezogen

Do you have items that might be useful for students—from kitchenware and home decor to textbooks or bike accessories? Then join our student night flea market.

We want to create a cozy space where students can easily and affordably find everything they need. As a vendor, you sell your items yourself; there is no central checkout or shared financial processing.

At the night flea market, you can enjoy delicious, fair-trade cocktails and mocktails! For a small contribution, you can enjoy non-alcoholic drinks made with fair-trade ingredients—because fair trade just tastes better.

At the same time, across the street at Chico Mendes, a Clothing Swap organized by nAChhaltig angezogen takes place.

This event is the perfect opportunity to swap your old clothes for trendy secondhand items. Of course, you’re also welcome to come if you’re just looking for new clothes but don’t have anything to donate. Café Chico Mendes also serves delicious Fairtrade coffee at a low price.

Filmvorführung im Eden

We’d also love to invite you to join us at Eden to watch a well-known Pixar animated film. Let us surprise you. We’ll just say this much: of course, it’s all about sustainability!

In addition to the movie, you can also look forward to a delicious treat: homemade, locally sourced ice cream from Eisfreunde Alsdorf. For students, a serving costs just €1, with a limit of two scoops per person.

Vortrag & Ausstellung Solar-Institut Jülich

As a department of Aachen University of Applied Sciences, the Solar Institute has long been conducting research on sustainable and more efficient energy use. You can look forward to engaging presentations on topics such as the energy transition, alternative energy storage solutions, and the production of fuels from sunlight.

Backworkshop

Wie ein leckerer saisonaler Obstkuchen aus regionalen Zutaten gebacken wird und wie viel in diesem eigentlich so steckt, zeigt die Verbraucherzentrale NRW zusammen mit dem AStA. Gemeinsam wird im Workshop gebacken, es werden Wissenshäppchen genascht und schließlich das leckere Endergebnis verkostet. Häppchenweise schauen wir uns die Reise des gebackenen Obstkuchens an: Wie viel Zeit vergeht, bis das Mehl in der Schüssel landet? Wie viel Fläche braucht es für den Zucker? Und wie viel Wasser für das Obst? Denn in unserem Obstkuchen – da steckt viel drin!

Here, you have the chance to let your creativity run wild: Paint your own flower pots however you like, and then plant them right on the spot. Whether colorful, minimalist, or featuring unique patterns, you can create something truly personal here and take a piece of nature home with you at the same time.

AUSGEBUCHT: DIY nachhaltige Pflegeprodukte

Together with an expert in natural skincare products, you’ll have the opportunity to make various beauty products yourself—and then take them home with you.

Options include a daisy lip balm, a ribwort plantain ointment, a nettle scrub, and a rosemary hair oil. During the workshop, you’ll also learn valuable information about the ingredients used and their benefits. This way, you can easily make the products yourself at home later on—even the ones you might not have time to finish during the workshop.

Feel free to bring your own mason jars or similar containers. Alternatively, we’ll have plenty of containers available for you on site.
