The General Students' Committee, known as AStA, is the university-wide representative body for all students at FH Aachen. This means that we advocate for the interests of the student body to the university, politics, and the public. Key issues include affordable housing, sustainability, equality, and improving education. Additionally, we manage the financial resources of the student body and strive to enhance student life at the university through various advisory services and events. To achieve this, we collaborate with many other student groups and organizations, such as the student councils, the Equal Opportunities Office, and various clubs and initiatives. 

The AStA currently consists of about 25 students working in six departments and the executive board. The representatives are elected by the Student Parliament. We are funded by a portion of the semester fees.
